Becoming a Reiki Practitioner
People Have lots of different reasons for wishing to become a Reiki practitioner. It could be a wish to help others, perhaps a need for personal self-healing or spiritual development.
Whatever the motivation it seems that when the time is right, Reiki finds you rather than you finding Reiki.
Often the decision to become a Practitioner will follow hot on the heels of a string of co-incidences where Reiki seems to pop up everywhere.
These co-incidences are signals from your higher self that Reiki can and will provide the next step in your physical and spiritual development.
Reiki is the simplest and easiest holistic healing method available to us. Anyone can learn it, or practise it-at any age. No previous knowledge or experience is required. All that you need is a sincere commitment to help others and/or to help yourself to progress and develop.
Reiki is divided into 3 levels of training.
1st degree Reiki
Introduces the basic techniques and includes your first 4 attunements.
Students are connected to Reiki through a ritual called a 'Reiki Attunement'.
1st degree students are given 4 attunements that help to open up their energetic system to the 'Divine source'
2nd degree Reiki
Introduces three of the four symbols and instruction in their use in Reiki practise There is 1 attunement for the 2nd degree.
3rd degree Reiki Master
This is the Master level of training
Here the Practitioner receives 1 attunement
And the Master symbol
Instruction in the attunement process
And master level teaching.
